Color: Yellow on head and ventral fins, combined with the large black spot at the base of the spinous part of the dorsal fin, usually over the four last spines.

Dorsal spines (total): 13-13, Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12, Anal spines: 2, Anal soft rays: 11–13. Movement by the oscillation of median or pectoral fins.
