Description
Size: Up to around 6 mm in height.

The umbrella is conical with a flattened apex in which there is a small depression. The umbrella is octagonal in cross-section with narrow longitudinal ridges, composed of thin jelly. The short stomach is on a thin peduncle. Eight sausage-shaped gonads are suspended from the peduncle above the stomach. There are eight radial canals running along the ridges on the umbrella and around 50-75 short marginal tentacles, which are easily damaged and usually partially missing. The velum can be very broad.
