Condyles often vestigial and not visible in frontal view. Lyrula and proximal teeth wanting. Avicularia lateral oral, on one or both sides, generally small and sub-circular. Large horizontal frontal avicularia rare. Ovicells not or hardly projecting beyond the general frontal level. Basal surface with scattered minute pores, sometimes with small pore-chambers inconstant in position. Opercula widest basally, the basal sclerite incomplete, represented only by its lateral portions.
