Size: Length 30-60 mm

Color: Anteriorly the dorsum is banded with violet-brown bars, 2 on each segment. Dorsal cirri white or often, violaceous or lilac.

Body flattened, dorsum somewhat rounded anteriorly. Segments short and numerous. Prostomium broader than long. Dorsal cirri alternately long and short, distinctly articulated. Terminal pieces of the setae bifid and spinous on the edge.
