Description
Umbrella shallow bowl-shaped, with thick jelly; stomach normally has four primary radial lobes; four primary radial canals, each with four or five terminal branches, and the same number of tentacles; without a ring canal; medusa buds arising from corners of stomach or from the fork of radial canals; clusters of nematocysts on exumbrella between every two tentacles.
