Very strongly pronounced domed upper jaw which is the longest and most arched of the four species of Rhynchorhamphus. Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13 - 17; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 13 - 16; Vertebrae: 54 - 59.
