Color: Orange when fresh and flesh colored on drying. Spicules light yellow and axial part pale orange.

Colony fan shaped and closely reticulate. Stalk robust, often ridged and usually expanded. Branchlets divide and redivide and get interconnected in a scalariform pattern producing small meshes of 4 x 5 mm on an average. Coenchyme granular. Spicules are spindles, 0.084 x 0.025 mm, dumb-bells, 0.063 x 0.033 mm and smaller dumb-bells, 0.025 x 0.021 mm.
