Size: Diameter of the disc (d.d.) = Upto 20 mm.

Color : Very varied, arms commonly green or green brown and banded by darker areas but banding may be deep brown or cream. Disc uniformly dull green to dark brown.

Arm length up to 10 cm. Disc scales covered by granules, becoming spiky towards the edges, higher than thick. Arms with spines as long as the arm width. Disc mottled green, arms distinctly banded. Only one tentacle scale at least beyond the fifth segment. Very fragile.
