Length: 110-153.2 µm x 58-78.7 µm.

Similar in shape to Paramecium bursaria with the anterior transversely truncated and the posterior rounded. The oral groove is slightly narrower than it is in P. bursaria. A single ovoid macronucleus lies centrally with two micronuclei. There are two contractile vacuoles. No zoochlorellae are present. There is no caudal tuft of cilia.
