Length: 60-80 ┬Ám.

Small, elongate, tending to become broad on contraction. The anterior, when extended is seen to be obliquely truncated. The upper surface is domed, the lower is pleated. A flattened band is present on both sides of the organism but long trichocysts are conspicuous only in the oral region. A single ovoid macronucleus is present, together with a single terminal contractile vacuole.
