Length: 90-110 ┬Ám

Ovoid in form, the body is rather pointed posteriorly. Arrangement of characters typical of the genus, with an apical cytostome and well-developed basket, trichocysts and mucocysts present, contractile vacuole terminal. The macronucleus is oval with a central core. The species has been found in regions of low salinity.
