Description
Colonies are ramose, narrow base, lower part dead. Primary septa conspicuous, secondary cycle of septa spiny, Lower down the branches the surface coenenchyme is mostly glabrous. Papillae are well formed at the top of corallum.

Similar species: It is similar to Montipora jonesi.
More studies are required to confirm the identity of this species.
