Color: White in color tinged with yellow blotches on its outer surface.

Shell is triangularly ovate, thin with irregular margin, inequivalve, right valve deep. Hinge is nearly straight extending to form wings on either side, triangularly produced area curved right. Two strong teeth on each valve, strongly interlocking. Right wing is more produced with deep notch below. Outer surface is sculptured with large number of radial ridges armed with fine, short, thin spines. Interspaces with fine nodulose radial threads with minute prickles throughout. Inner surface is smooth, margin is smooth. Muscular impression sublateral.
