Size: Length 20.85-48.58 mm; diameter 16.30-31.66 mm; length of aperture 16.85-29.50 mm; length of spire 10.92-21.70 mm.

Color: Chocolate brown, tubercles dark brown interpolated with white bands, aperture white, outer margin chocolate brown with white blotches in between indicating the position of major cords, columella with brown streaks and blotches at anal sulcus.

Shell ovately oblong, spire elevated, acute, consists of 3 whorls, slightly angulate. Body whorl large, distinctly angulated, slightly depressed above the shoulder, ornamented with tubercles. Aperture ovated, outer lip thick, margin crenulate, interior denticulate, teeth 12 in number, columella smooth, upper region callous, plicated anteriorly, anal sulcus deep and open. Body whorl sculptured with spiral striations of 4 major cords and 4-5 minor cords in between, only major cord ornamental with low tubercles.
