Description
Size: Length 45.20-254 mm; diameter 29.80-245 mm; length of aperture 16.59-105 mm; length of spire 13.61-82.80 mm; length of the canal 18.22-94.40 mm.

Color: Cream, brown, exterior white, sometimes stained rusty pink, columella and outer lip pink or orange-red.

Protoconch consists of 2½ whorls, rounded, smooth, sculpture stars last whorl, spire low, consisting of 6 rounded whorls, suture impressed, body whorl large, globose. Gigantic shell, moderately siphonal canal and thick, pink aperture, short spines, fold on outer lip and columella. Spire moderately high, body whorl tumid, siphonal canal moderately long and recurved, varixes low, bearing short, upturned, open fronds, intervarical areas with 1-2 prominent, axially-elongate nodules and fine spiral cords, aperture round, with a broad anal sulcus bordered by a strong spiral parietal ridge, outer lip erect, dentate, with a large labial tooth anteriorly, columellar lip adherent posteriorly, weakly erect anteriorly, smooth.
