Size: 8 cm.

Color: Cream, with faint brown spiral bands, spiral cords topped with red-brown lines, aperture white.

Spire high, suture simple but sinuous, protoconch of 2 1/2 minutely granulose, convex whorls, with seven teleoconch whorls, spiral sculpture weak, consisting of spiral cords and threads, 2-3 axial ridges in the intervarical areas, varixes deeply excavated behind, with short, open spines, siphonal canal with two short basal spines, aperture with a raised peristome, outer lip crenulate, lirate within, inner lip sometimes rugose anteriorly, operculum brown, nucleus subterminal, concentrically ridged.
