Size: Height 8.25 - 18.75 mm, maximum diameter 7.15 - 30.70 mm, minimum diameter 5.50 - 21.95 mm.

Color: Off-white with pale fawn or grey bands, spire and subsutural area milky white, columella and umbilicus dark brown.

Shell is smooth, thin, fusiformly swollen, spire small; whorls obliquely, rudely striated and impressed with very fine spiral striae. Aperture is large, oblong-semilunar; columella with enamelled lamina rolled back over the umbilicus.
