Size: Length 28.50-36.05 mm; diameter 25.15-28.60 mm; length of aperture 22.25-30.10 mm.

Color: Fawn to orange, interior violet; light brown, interior of aperture light purple.

Ovate, sculptured with fine spiral cords and spiral rows of stout spines, a single row on the spire whorls and five on the body whorl, plus a row on the fasciole, aperture wide, outer lip with bifid or trifid denticles (in the illustrated immature specimen they are single), columella with three strong folds and the trace of a fourth anteriorly.
