Description
Colonies are massive, either rounded or hillocky. Corallites have very thick walls and tend to become subplocoid. Calices average 10 mm in diameter. Budding is both intra- and extratentacular. Paliform lobes may be developed.

Hermaphroditic, sexual, broadcast spawning.
