Description
Color: Pale to dark green or brown.

Colonies are composed of stout, upright, flattened branches. They may be widely separated, or compact, especially where currents are strong. Subcylindrical branches upto 25 cm in height and 6-7 cm in thickness at base. Verrucae 2-4 mm thick and 2-6 mm long. Calices or verrucae about 1.5 in length, polygonal, rounded at base of branches 0.8 to 1 mm in diameter. Septa in two cycles well developed with distinct columella.
