Description
Max. size: 17 cm

Color: 2/3rd of spinous dorsal black

Body deep, DOB 30-36 %, mouth terminal and oblique, teeth well differentiated into large and small in both jaws, no canines. HL 29-34 %, eyes large, ED 24-37 %. IInd anal fin spine 7-11 %, gill rakers in the lower limb of Ist gill arch 10. Sagitta: anterior portion broad, tail "hockey stick" shaped. Swim bladder carrot shaped with 18-20 arborescent appendages none entering the head.

Remarks: Measurements on Head Length (HL), Depth of body (DOB) and length of IInd Anal fin spine (II AFS.) were converted as % of Standard Length (SL). Eye Diameter (ED) is presented as percentage of HL.
