Size: 18.3 cm SL.

Dorsal half body pale brown, silver-gray ventrally. Irregularly shaped red blotches on ventral half of body. All fins pale, adipose fin grayish. Dorsal soft rays (total): 13 - 13, Anal soft rays: 10.

Dioecious, external fertilization, nonguarders, open water or substratum egg scatterers.
