Description
Size: Length 1.5 mm and maximum width 0.8 mm.

Body ovate. Caudal ramus longer than broad with 4 setae. Antennule 7-segmented, with an aesthete on third segment. Antennule is not modified in male, an unusual feature among copepods. Exopod of antenna 2-segmented, the second segment bearing 2 setae. Exopod of mandible single-segmented. Maxilliped prehensile, with a terminal claw. P.1 with exopod 3-segmented and endopod 2-segmented. Last segment of exopod of P.1 is short with 3 terminal claws in male and 2 in female. Endopod of P.1 with a spoon-like modified seta on both the segments. P.2-P.4 with both rami 3-segmented, with long plumose setae. Exopod of P.5 is an elongate lamina with 5 setae.
