Length: 5.45-15.00 mm.
Width: 7.10 mm-1.5 cm.
Max height of the aperture: 7.00-16.00 mm.

Color: Cream, grey, pale orange or brown, sometimes with darker axial streaks, aperture and columellar deck orange, shiny; periostracum yellowish brown.

Laterally elongate-ovate, oblique, apex overhanging the posterior margin. Shell crepidula shaped; spire minute; columellar plate porcellaneous with 7-10 dentitions; radula with central having a little broader cusp, and strikingly than anterior end, the cusps of the V-lateral not very large.
This species seems to be euryhaline in nature and can tolerate a wide range of salinity.
