Color: White, tinged with dull grey.

Shell large, both valves intact; umbo placed centrally; anterior margin is broad and rounded but posteriorly shell is attenuated and narrowly rounded; sculpture consists of fine but strong radial ridges which are transversely striated; posterior ridges are stronger and separated by wide interstitial grooves.
