Description
Color: Whitish, marked with pale-brown blotches.

Shell is thick, solid and moderately large, longer than high with a broadly rounded front margin and somewhat narrow and truncated hind margin; sculpture is very strong, consisting of erect, crest-like concentric lamellae; the deep interstices between these lamellae are traversed by broad, low radial ridges; hinge margin is thick and the hinge teeth are sharp and rather thin in proportion to the size and thickness of the shell; lunule is well developed and deeply depressed and heart-shaped; pallial sinus is small; inner surface is smooth, glossy and finely crenated at the margin.
