Color: Whitish.

Shell small, solid, nearly globular, valves deeply convex; dorsal margin in front of the umbo is depressed and rounds off into front margin; posteriorly a deep radial groove running near the hind margin marks off an elevated portion of the surface which forms a well marked, oval,raised area when the two valves are in apposition. Outer surface of the shell sculptured with thick, raised, concentric ridges, the interstices between which are traversed by fine radial ridges.
