Description
Color: White

Shell large, thick and a little inequilateral. The longest dorso-ventral axis of the shell runs rather obliquely, meeting the ventral margin of the shell somewhat anteriorly; valves are not very convex and are much flattened; umbo is pointed and the dorsal margin in front is slightly depressed. Hinge teeth are well developed. Shell sculptured with radiating ribs, ribs are numerous, close-set and traversed by fine, concentric grooves which give the surface a reticulated appearance; radiating ribs divert towards the anterior and posterior ends. Growth lines are conspicuous.
