Description
Size: Width of carapace 25 mm; length of carapace 20 mm.

Color: Carapace brownish purple; chelipeds creamy to brownish chocolate colored.

Carapace about four-fifth as long as broad, more or less convex with granular ridges; front prominent and cut into six teeth, the middle two teeth remarkably larger and bluntly pointed; antero-lateral border with six serrulate, spine-like and acuminate teeth. Chelipeds nearly smooth, less than twice as long as the carapace; palm with two spines on the anterior border and none on the posterior border; wrist with a strong spine at the inner angle and two-three spinules at the outer angles; hands six-costate and inflated in the male but not so inflated in the female; fingers longer than the palm in the smaller cheliped and as long as the palm of major cheliped. Sixth segment of male abdomen broader than long, gently curved and convergent at the sides.
