Size: 10 cm

Color: Flanks and belly are silvery. A distinct blue-black stripe runs from eye to base of caudal fin and above and below it, a thin metallic golden line is present.

Body is oblong and compressed. Mouth small. Abdomen rounded. Lateral line nearly complete with 31-34 scales. Length of pectoral fin is shorter than head length. Lower lip is simple. Lateral line is nearly complete.
