Size: Length 32.60-39.42 mm; diameter 18.22-21.95 mm; height of spire 17.50-21.30 mm; height of aperture 17.50-21.30 mm.

Color: Variable, most commonly greenish grey or cream with brown dorsal blotches which may tend to form bands, sometimes uniformly brownish grey, tan, or even pink.

Elongate-ovate, first 2-3 teleoconch whorls axially ribbed, remainder smooth and glossy, outer lip varixed behind but with a sharp or thin edge, finely dentate along its inner side, the denticles not extending into the aperture as lirate, columellar callus thick but narrow, continuous between the siphonal and anal canals, terminating with a prominent spine projecting over the siphonal canal.
