Max size: 10.0 cm TL

Body elongate, mouth terminal and small. No barbels. Dorsal fin inserted slightly posterior to pelvic in origin. Its last unbranched ray osseous, strong and serrated at its posterior edge. Lateral line ceases after 6-8 scales. Predorsal scales 9-11.

About 150 eggs are laid in batches of about 20 at a time; eggs hatch in about a day, and fry are free-swimming the next day.
