Description
Size: Maximum shell length 1.5 cm, total length of the animal 40 cm.

Color: Dull white

The dorsal portion of anterior slope of adult with the disc and the posterior lobe appear eroded; internally the aurciles form a shelf where the disc overlaps; apophyses arising from the shelf at the junction of lobe and disc. Pallets are spoon-shaped with ring-like prominence at junction of the blade and stalk.

A common wood borer, generally attacks mangrove vegetation in estuaries, and secretes thin calcareous tube in the burrows.
