Description
Size: Length of carapace 20 mm; breadth of carapace 33 mm; breadth of front 11 mm

Color: Dirty yellowish or bluish brown, fingers chocolate brown

Species of a small size. Carapace almost flat from side to side carapace and chelipeds almost smooth to the naked eye. Two oblique ridges on branchial regions.

Carapace transversely oval, depressed, almost flat, its length a little over five ninth of breadth, granular and finely and faintly rugulose just inside the frontal and antero-lateral borders, smooth elsewhere. The front, which is a good deal less than a third the greatest breadth of the carapace, and has a double edge, is cut into four low teeth. Antero-lateral border thin and sharp, divided by short, narrow notches into four very broad shallow lobes, of which only the last two are at all acuminate chelipeds massive, remarkably unequal in the adult male especially. The fingers of the larger hand of the adult male are strongly arched and meet only at tip. Legs almost smooth; the borders of the dactylus and of the distal half of the propodite are covered with a short stubby fur.
