Size: Length 15-35 mm.

Body short, cylindrical; 18 elongated setigerous segments with oval, slanting cephalic plate. Cephalic rim notched. Peristomium achaetous. Parapodia biramous with a dorsal setigerous lobe carrying slender, bipinnate capillary setae and bilimbate capillary setae. Ventral uncinigerous tori with hooks. Each hook is provided with one big tooth at the base and five teeth above. A number of fine hairs at the base of the neck of the hooks. Nuchal groove straight.Two ante-anal achaetous segments; anal funnel with alternating cirri and anus situated deep inside and the margin without slender ventral cirrus. No long median ventral cirrus. Numerous eye spots on the dorsal and ventral side of cephalic rim.Long slender bipinnate setae present.
