Size: Length 10-20 mm by 4 mm

Color: Back uniformly dusky brown or purple-violet, or pale ground color with a couple of longitudinal purple stripes near the dorsal middle line. Beneath each dorsal bundle of bristles is a purple ring shading off into orange; the dorsal cirri are dark purple.
