Description
Color: Purple, green, blue or brown, with pale growing margins

Colonies are horizontal to vertical plates or thick columns and branches. Corallites are immersed and indistinct. The coenosteum has tuberculae fused into ridges forming the same pattern as Porites rus and Montipora confusa.

Similar species: Montipora danae if large tuberculae are formed
