Size: 8 cm.

Color: Exterior whitish with dark brown spiral bands between the ribs, interior and columella glazed and white inner edge of the outer lip with 4-7 squarish black-brown spots, large black-brown patches present on the columella and parietal wall.

Biconical, spire relatively low, body whorl with a spiral row of long, curved, blunt spines at the shoulders, and five stout spiral ribs anteriorly which bear short spines or nodules, outer lip crenulate, columella with three strong plaits and sometimes weaker folds in the spaces between the plaits, umbilicus closed.
