Description
Color: Primarily blue or purple.

Colonies are digitate bushes with an extensive encrusting base. Branches are thick, tapering to a conspicuous axial corallite. Radial and incipient axial corallites are of mixed sizes and are irregularly distributed.

Similar species: Acropora oppressa, which has smaller axial corallites, Acropora humilis has larger axial corallite and distinctive radial corallites, and Acropora anthocercis, typically as multiple axial corallites.
