Description
Size: Length 25.44-94.24 mm; length of aperture 5.70-22.58 mm; length of spire 6.84-22.29 mm; length of the canal 14.24-53.54 mm.

Color: White, cream or tan, tips of spines sometimes purple.

Spire low, suture simple and crossed diagonally by growth lamellae, teleoconch of eight whorls, body whorl sculptured with nodulose primary and secondary spiral cords and 4-5 intervarical ridges, shagreened, body whorl varixes bear three heavy, slightly curved primary spines, short intermediary secondary spines, and sometimes very small tertiary spinelets, siphonal canal with 5-7 long primary spines, slightly recurved at the ends, secoundary spines lacking, outer lip crenulate, labral tooth small, aperture wall lirate, inner lip thick erect in the anterior two thirds, operculum red-brown, with subcentral nucleus and raised, non-foliate, concentric lamellae.
