Size: Length 54.06-90.50 mm; diameter 25.58-39.13 mm; length of aperture 15.20-22.35 mm; length of spire 12.45-20.55 mm; length of the canal 30.04-53.30 mm.

Color: Cream, spiral cords brown, varixes banded, aperture margins apricot to white, interior white, siphonal canal light brown.

Spire low, suture impressed, protoconch of 2½ bulbous whorls, eight inflated teleoconch whorls, later whorls sculptured with swollen nodules and alternating major and minor cords, varixes spineless in the typical form but sometimes with small spinelets posteriorly and anteriorly, siphonal canal with one sharp spine near the base, aperture surrounded by a peristome formed by raised outer and inner lips, outer lip weakly crenulate, inner lip flaring, lirate, operculum dark brown, nucleus central, surrounded by concentric lamellae.
