Description
Size: Length 46.95-80 mm; diameter 32.70-52.13 mm; length of aperture 11.50-18.80 mm; length of spire 17.50-31.85 mm; length of the canal 15.70-23.65 mm.

Color: Exterior black or brown, sometimes orange, aperture white or rose, lip margin reddish, collumella yellow or pink.

Protoconch depressed, consists of 2½ whorls, smooth, body sculpture starts from last whorl with spiral and axial ribs. Rather solid and rhomboid, siphonal canal shorter than the spire, distally recurved, varical spines densely foliose, the posterior ones long and dorsally bent, aperture small, almost round, anal sulcus small, outer lip erect, finely dentate, lirate internally, columellar lip with an adherent parietal callus, narrow and slightly erect anteriorly.
