Size: 10 cm.

Color: Cream, blue-grey, or fawn with brown axial streaks, and spiral bands, interior and columella scarlet to crimson, teeth and lirae white.

Elongate, fusiform, varixes moderate, whorls sculptured, flat spiral ribs and narrow cords in the interspaces, crossed by axial threads, ribs thicken where they cross the varixes, usually also with axial rows of low nodules, posterior canal a distinct U-shaped notch, anterior canal rather straight and upturned, outer lip with strong denticles, usually in seven pairs, extending into the aperture as strong, straight lirae, columellar callus heavily lirate, lirae irregular on the parietal wall, regular on the side of the canal.
