Description
Size: 6 cm.

Color: Exterior usually blue-grey or fawn-grey flecked or blotched with brown, sometimes dark brown with a central white spiral band, outer lip and columella glazed, glossy white or yellow, interior red or purple-brown.

Solid and stout, spire moderately high, stepped, anterior canal narrow but moderately short and upturned, varixes broad and heavy, sculptured with 4-5 nodulose axial folds, crossed by strong, irregularly granulose, spiral ribs and striae, outer lip with denticles (sometimes divided) on the inner margin, columella thickly calloused, the callus spreading onto the parietal wall, and reflected over the base, with a low nodule beside the posterior canal and a few weak folds anteriorly.
