Description
Size: 6 cm.

Color: Exterior white with spiral bands of brown blotches, interior white, or tinted with violet, brown or yellow, columella often with an elongate brown patch.

Shell is solid, fusiform, attenuated towards the base with whorls distorted; spire transversely ridged and striated; penultimate whorl giving last part of the body whorl a descending show and ultimately a distorsion to the entire shell. Columella smooth white, flushed with violet; inner edge of outer lip with a purple axial band crossed by whitish spiral lirae. Posterior canal is shot and dark brown at its base; stromboid notch deep.
