Size: 9 cm.

Color: Exterior white, grey or yellow-brown usually with a reticulate pattern of brown lines, interior white.

Shell is solid, smooth, light brown with a flairing lip; body whorl along with the expanded outer lip much broader in proportion to its height; spire short, variable; apex with whitish remnants of varices; edge of winged outer lip rounded, stands at a considerable distance. Columella swollen, glazed, enamel white; siphonal canal short; notch shallow; surface glossy, sculptured with wide incised spiral grooves in the upper most whorls; surface with closest wavy, transpiral orange-red lines.
