Description
Size: 2 - 11 cm.

Color: Dark brown, often with a single spiral central white line on each whorl, columella yellow, interior brown.

Heavy, conical shell, twisted columella, shallow sutures, sides straight, base broad and rather flat, periphery angulate, whorls short, sculptured with several deep spiral striae, varixes lacking, anterior canal and columella very short, columella twisted, with a strong central spiral ridge and deep channel around the pillar, outer lip thin, not flared, smooth except for weak serrations anteriorly.
