Description
Size: 4 cm.

Color: Black to purple-brown or grey, granulae darker, interior white or light purple-brown.

Elongate, turreted, suture deeply impressed, varixes weak, protoconch of four whorls with a strong sinusigeral notch, sculptured with granulose spiral cords, three on the adult whorls, plus fine threads in the interspaces, crossed by 11-21 axial ribs, multiple varixes placed at random intervals, aperture hemispherical, outer lip thickened, weakly crenulate, anterior canal short, wide slightly recurved, posterior canal deep, bordered by a strong parietal denticle and callus, columella slightly concave, with a thick callus and lip.
