Description
Size: 15 cm.

Color: Off-white with oblique reddish stripes.

Adult shells smooth, very heavy with a thickened, spreading peripheral rim, body whorl with concave sides, juveniles and subadults weakly sculptured with nodulose spiral cords, columella long, curved, smooth, ending abruptly at a basal notch, outer lip and aperture smooth.
