Description
Size: 25.5 to 37.5 mm in length.
Color: tegmentum grayish brown.
Valves semi-oval, with a deeply V-shaped posterior margin. Intermediate valves hexagonal, valve as long as wide. Anterior and posterior valves concentrically ridged. Intermediate valves with lateral and central areas demarcated by oblique ridge like elevation, lateral areas with longitudinal ridges. Well-developed mucronal area and a well demarcated post mucronal area. Articulamentum weakly developed.Girdle wide. Arrangement of gills holobranchial and abanal.
